This is a sober / alcohol free event.

Bring your own water bottle, cup, and spork.   We have amazing soup over the fire every week, and a ladle… you will need a mug and a spork!

A headlamp or flashlight  for the return walk to your car.

A yoga mat or ground cover

We have an out-house on site, and a shovel.  Please feel free to water the trees, and burry any poop.

Poison Ivy is a hairy vine with arial roots, 3 smooth edged green leaves with a red glow, and each leaf has thumbs that point outward from the center.   It is prevalent on the land.  Be mindful when hugging trees!

Potluck: You can add to the Vegetable Soup.  We start it off with some aromatic roots and veggies and stock, and there is room in the pot for all sorts of legumes, beans, veggies, nuts, and fruits.

420 with discretion please, and not on the dance floor.

We love dogs… Our dogs will aggressively establish dominance over new dogs, especially over food.   There will be food and we don’t want anyone to get harmed, so please leave your dog at home.

Rain-or-shine!!  There's nothing better than dancing in the rain!  Please check the weather and dress accordingly.  Be mindful of your footprint if the ground is wet and avoid slopes that may be disrupted if a shoe slips. Leave-No-Trace! It’s not bad weather, its bad layers ;)

Donation Pledges: this land, build project, sound, and lighting are all expensive contributions to this project.   We are currently 3 years of work into bringing this to life!… Your contributions of energy or credit$ will make a tremendous impact in this container we are co-creating to spread love through dance! Donations will be accepted on sight and during ticketing and will be greatly appreciated towards this project :)

Early Arrival - Work Parties will happen most Saturday's... feel free to camp with us for the night and help us welcome the guests on Sunday!   Please try to be as minimal as possible (you have to hike in from somewhere)... That may be part of your exploration… what backpack and gear do you need to be self sufficient and comfortable for this experience.

Handicap Access - Please contact us and we will help accommodate your needs!

the Principles of Our Dance

To curate an intentional space for dancing and to connect with yourself and to nature.

Opening Circle - To open a portal to a new dimension and establish an intentional group for the journey as we we dance our way through to a higher vibrational reality!

The journey will take about 90 Minutes.  We ask that there is No Talking within the portal.

Use eye contact to establish clear and enthusiastic Consent… ie, to dance with or touch anyone.

Holding your hands together in front you is a polite way to say, “No, Thank you, I prefer to dance alone”

Participation in the entire journey is strongly encouraged, even if it involves shavasana on the stage ;)

Bare-foot… helps create that connection and grounding on the soft cedar mulch of the dance floor

No Toys - The intention is to connect with yourself through a curated sonic journey and the motions it inspires in your fancy space-suit!  No distraction… just you, and the music!

No judgements… this is an opportunity to observe yourself as you navigate through emotions & fears, to observe your thoughts.  Remember, no one is here to judge or be judged.  Each of us is only here to dance, as freely as possible, as if no one is watching …. Or as if everyone is watching (lovingly), and No-One is passing judgments!

Closing Circle - to reflect on our sonic journeys.

Social Hour - Food, Music, Conversations, and Explorations before the walk (or ride) back home.

Our venue is on the Waterloo Trail in the southern region of Waterloo Rec area, between Jackson and Ann Arbor, just off I-94.

Directions, Address, Parking, & GPS Coordinates will be on your tickets

We have very limited on-site parking.... so really, You gotta walk through the woods to get here... it is part of the magic!

The most immersive journey into our venue will involve longer approaches from various locations throughout the Waterloo and Pinckney Recreation Areas.  Please make sure you have valid parking credentials from the park, that allow for overnight parking if you plan to camp with us.  Group hikes & bike rides to access the event are encouraged… and we encourage the leaders amongst us to form groups for those journeys.

There are also modern Campgrounds within the Waterloo State Recreation area  The Portage Lake unit and the Pines unit are the nearest to our Venue.

Radical Inclusion
Anyone may be a part of this. We welcome and respect the stranger. No prerequisites exist for participation in our community.

Gifting
This is devoted to acts of gift giving. The value of a gift is unconditional. Gifting does not contemplate a return or an exchange for something of equal value.

De-commodification
In order to preserve the spirit of gifting, our community seeks to create social environments that are unmediated by commercial sponsorships, transactions, or advertising. We stand ready to protect our culture from such exploitation. We resist the substitution of consumption for participatory experience.

Radical Self-reliance
We encourage the individual to discover, exercise and rely on their inner resources.

Radical Self-expression
Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of the individual. No one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver should respect the rights and liberties of the recipient.

Communal Effort
Our community values creative cooperation and collaboration. We strive to produce, promote and protect social networks, public spaces, works of art, and methods of communication that support such interaction.

Civic Responsibility
We value civil society. Community members who organize events should assume responsibility for public welfare and endeavor to communicate civic responsibilities to participants. They must also assume responsibility for conducting events in accordance with local, state and federal laws.

Leaving No Trace
Our community respects the environment. We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a better state than when we found them.

Participation
Our community is committed to a radically participatory ethic. We believe that transformative change, whether in the individual or in society, can occur only through the medium of deeply personal participation. We achieve being through doing. Everyone is invited to work. Everyone is invited to play. We make the world real through actions that open the heart.

Immediacy
Immediate experience is, in many ways, the most important touchstone of value in our culture. We seek to overcome barriers that stand between us and a recognition of our inner selves, the reality of those around us, participation in society, and contact with a natural world exceeding human powers. No idea can substitute for this experience.
